The first session is on us
Tuesday, September 22, 2026 — 2:00 PM Central (3:00 PM Eastern / 12:00 PM Pacific)
One hour, online. Free, and open to anyone — member or not.
What this is in <30 seconds
What the hour actually is
The teaching reaches you a week ahead, as a short video you watch whenever the week allows. That leaves forty-five to fifty minutes of the hour for discussion — with the people doing the same job, working through real situations.
It isn’t a lecture. It’s a room.
Why it’s built that way
The APG model’s whole claim is that people get better in the company of people a little further along. That doesn’t stop being true at thirty-five. A director who tells young people they can’t do it alone, and then builds a programme alone, has stopped believing his own programme.
Peer support for the young people. Peer support for the operators.
Who’s in the room
People running an Alternative Peer Group, the facilitators inside them, and — this is most of the room — people at a recovery school or a treatment organisation still working out whether to start one. The session is built so that second group can answer every question in it. You don’t need a programme yet.
Two tracks
Administrators and facilitators take separate versions of every module. The jobs are genuinely different and the material reflects that. Pick yours on the form; if you do both, pick the one you’d rather sharpen first.
What happens after you sign up
A confirmation with a calendar invite, straight away. The joining link and the pre-watch video the week before. Then an hour on the 22nd.
And after the first one?
Modules two through twelve run inside the AAPG member network. We’ll make that case at the end of the first session — after you’ve been in the room, not before. Nothing on this page commits you to anything past September 22.
